Fire Safety
In Quebec there are approximately 10,000 fires annually, causing on average 67 deaths, and more than $430, 766, 505.00 in damages. Material losses to fire are five to six times greater in the industrial and agricultural sectors.
The outbreak of a fire is a situation requiring the right decision at the right time, and the right time is FAST. Fire rarely gives a second chance.
It should therefore not come as a surprise that a Fire Safety Plan (FSP) is required by federal and provincial legislation, as well as municipal by-laws. Moreover, such a plan is the basis of any emergency response plan. At Santinel inc., FSPs have always been part of a health and safety program.
This is the reason why Santinel developed a partnership with l'École de Pompiers du Collège Notre-Dame-de-Foy, and with a 500-employee French organization, l'Institut de Formation à la Prévention et à la Sécurité (IFOPSE), which specializes in fire safety.
