First-aid Training
Day Camp
A safe day camp
Each year, in Quebec, thousands of children register for various day camps for an enriching and entertaining summer experience. Included in the program are a multitude of varied activities, one all of the more entertaining than the other. Yet, what would happen if a child was stung by a bee which would then result in a serious anaphylactic reaction or if the child was a victim of a serious hemorrhage, fracture or cardiorespiratory arrest?
In case of an accident involving wounds,
the first-aid workers must act as quickly as
possible to help the victim and provide
him/her with the required care.
Santinel is the main first-aid training
organisation accredited by the CSST. Also
accredited by the federal and provincial governments
as a training organization, Santinel offers first-aid courses specifically adapted for day camp instructors.
The training for day camp instructors aims at preparing them for reacting to all of the emergency situations that can occur during activities and making them capable of helping individuals quickly and efficiently.
Duration of the training: 8 hours
Costs: 1 to 20 participants $50 / participant
21 to 40 participants $45 / participant
A $5 rebate per participant is granted for each group of 20 additional participants.
