Training in Fire Suppression
on Actual-Size Virtual Simulator
Problem
- The great majority of fires would not occur if they were suppressed on time.
- 72% of the population has never used a hand extinguisher.
- 80% will fail to suppress a fire because of a lack of knowledge, an inadequate use of equipment or nerves.
Classroom training alone is a second-best solution.
What about outdoors training?
- A permit to set a fire is very difficult to obtain.
- The discharge of 200 to 300 kilos of chemical powder on the premises of the company goes against the environmental policies of organizations.
- Training is minimal: a single type of fire and a single type of extinguisher, the participant’s judgment is not solicited.
- Commuting is a waste of time for participants.
